Leading/Lagging Indicators S&P 100 Index Option Trading

Stock traders routinely study the leading and lagging trading indicators as they read charts.  Most chartists over analyze historical averages and miss the real leading technical indicators.  This is especially true for index option or e-mini's.

At OEX Options we believe all trading indicators are lagging with the exceptions of:

  • Support and Resistance Lines, calculated for the current day
  • What the Average True Range (A.T.R)  is for the index.  OEX Options calculates where to use A.T.R to know market tops and bottoms
  • The “count” to the leading signal.  We interpret simple option price formulas to know the strength to the trend, and the risk.

At OEX Options we provide daily pre-market alerts that identify the leading technical indicators for that day.  Its technical analysis tools like these that allow our traders to make educated decisions, and not just "blindly buy a signal service recommendation".

Simple signals to buy/sell aren't really simple.  Watching a chart to predict moves by the minute isn't necessary with OEX Options' type of trading.

We try to buy a signal for a maximum 3 day hold, and often sell same day.  The leading trading indicators we provide help the trader to achieve their own maximum profits, and minimize losses.
